I thought the Geneva model, which is their highest priced floor plan, was stunning! The design is creative with it’s many arch ways and rounded corners throughout the home. I also loved that the kitchen not only had an island but a separate breakfast bar as well. The spacious master bedroom has a sitting room attached! I look at model homes all the time, and this one jumped out at me. It is unique!
Lot premiums range in price from $10,000 to $45,000. The salesman from DR Horton told me that people do not spend a lot in upgrades with these homes because all of the inclusions. He said in their lowest priced series that most homebuyers spend under $6,000 in upgrades. In the mid-priced and higher priced series homebuyers only spend about $15,000 to $20,000 in upgrades.
The least expensive series offers two floor plans, which include one ranch and one two-story home. These homes include 9′ ceilings on main level, six panel textured doors and a brushed hardware package. The kitchens come standard with 36″ birch cabinets with crown molding, GE appliance package, laminate counter tops and vinyl flooring. Front and backyard landscaping are included in the base price of all three series! Most new communities do not include backyard landscaping.
The mid-priced series offers six floor plans, three ranches and three two-story floor plans. Many more upgrades are included in this series. The kitchens come standard with granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances. The five piece master bath comes with ceramic tile around the tub and shower and has a raised height vanity. A fireplace in the family room comes standard.
The Summit Series at Copperleaf, which is the higher priced series offers two floor plans. In addition to the upgrades in the mid-priced series, these homes also include wainscoting in the dining room, under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen and master bath shower is tiled to the ceiling.
